Respiratory Therapy

The Respiratory Therapy Department of Savoy Medical Center is here to provide qualified and adequate staffing and equipment to assist the physicians in providing the best in respiratory care and education at an affordable cost to the patients; while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The hours of service are 24 hour per day / 7 days per week.

The Respiratory Therapy Department is located on the 1st floor adjacent to the Emergency Room.

The goals are to progress within our profession and adapt to the ever chaning health care environment for the purpose of providing better health care and education to our patients and our customers. The following services are provided:

1. Oxygen / Aerosol Therapy
2. Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing Therapy
3. Incentive Spirometry
4. Chest Percussion Therapy and Postural Drainage
5. Mechanical Ventilation Support
6. Metered Dos Inhaler
7. Peak flow study
8. ENT suctioning
9. Pulse Oximetry
10. Pulmonary Function Studies
11. Arterial blood gas analysis
12. CPR
13. Intubation
14. Extubation
15. Tracheostomy Tube Change
16. EKG from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
17. Newborn assistance to all deliveries including c-sections
18. Medicated Nebulization Therapy
